Yes — that’s exactly what express is built for. Tan in the morning, rinse the cosmetic guide colour after 1–4 hours, and the tan keeps deepening on your skin for another 6–8 hours so you peak in the evening. Allow a minimum of one hour of guide-colour develop before the rinse.

The cosmetic guide colour is formulated so you can wash it off much sooner — 1–4 hours instead of 8. The actual tan reaction on your skin still takes time: it continues to deepen for another 6–8 hours after you’ve rinsed. So ‘express’ means you can shower and get dressed quickly, not that the tan is fully developed when you rinse.

Lighter than your final colour. The cosmetic bronzer gives an immediate visual — once that’s rinsed you’re left with a softer base shade, which then deepens over the next 6–8 hours as the DHA continues reacting with your skin. Don’t panic if you look paler than expected immediately after the rinse — that’s normal and the colour will build.

Leave the guide colour on for the full 4 hours before rinsing and let the post-rinse 6–8 hour development do the rest.
